Up for sale is this Yamaha 567. It is approximately six years old and has been played professionally. It has been converted to a detachable bell horn by Osmun Brass. The ring set is made by E. Schmid, and it is compatible with all Schmid bell flares from medium to large. The horn comes with an E. Schmid Medium Large Gold Brass flare in very good condition. The original medium yellow brass flare is also included. It is in fair condition for the age of the horn. There is only one noticeable dent which is located in the bell tail (see picture). It can be easily removed upon request. An Altieri detachable bell gig bag is included, as is the original fixed bell case. The valves work well, and the lacquer is in good shape.
This horn would be well suited to the player who finds a Kruspe style horn too big for comfort. The original bell has a bright, projecting tone without being overpowering, while the Schmid bell gives more weight and power to the sound.
I have enjoyed playing this horn, but I can't afford to keep it.
The asking price for this Yamaha 567 with both bells and both cases is $2000.00.
